StackFire Stacks is a modular, flat-pack system built for real portability. It’s engineered to pack down small, set up fast, and deliver full-sized fire and grill performance — whether you're deep in the backcountry or hosting in your backyard.

Is StackFire Stacks safe to use on decks, grass, or uneven surfaces?

StackFire Stacks are designed for outdoor use on heat-resistant, stable, and level surfaces only. We do not recommend placing any Stack directly on wood decks, dry grass, artificial turf, or flammable surfaces, as high heat or sparks may cause damage or pose a fire risk.

If you're using your Stack on uneven or sensitive ground, we recommend placing a heat shield, fire pad, or non-combustible surface underneath for added protection.

Always follow local fire safety regulations and never leave a fire unattended.

How long does it take to set up and break down?

Less than 5 minutes. No tools required. The interlocking design makes assembly intuitive and takedown fast — ideal for quick setups at campsites or spontaneous backyard gatherings.

Can I cook with StackFire Stacks, or is it just for ambiance?

Yes — certain StackFire Stacks are designed for cooking, while others are intended for fire ambiance only.

  • The Grill Stack and Grill Pit Stack are made from 1/8” cold rolled carbon steel, a material commonly used in open-fire cooking. These models are suitable for grilling when used with proper care and seasoning.
  • The Flame Pit Stack is designed for ambiance only and does not include a cooking surface. It is not intended or recommended for food preparation.

Always follow safe food handling practices and ensure your Stack is seasoned and maintained properly before cooking.
Do not cook on any model not specifically designed for grilling.

What materials is StackFire Stacks made of? Will it last?

StackFire Stacks are made from 1/8” cold rolled carbon steel — a strong, high-heat-capable material commonly used in open-fire cooking and outdoor heating applications.

With proper use and care, carbon steel is highly durable and built to last. However, exposure to moisture, humidity, or direct water (such as rain or sprinklers) will cause rust — this is a natural property of raw steel and not a defect.

To extend the life of your Stack:

  • Season your cooking surfaces regularly (similar to cast iron)
  • Keep your Stack dry and covered when not in use
  • Clean thoroughly after each burn
  • Store indoors or in a dry, protected area

Rust is natural, manageable, and expected over time — especially with outdoor use. Surface changes will not affect performance when properly maintained.
